Type of a scam Debt Collections
Over the past few years, I have received threatening phone calls and voicemails from LDR Corporation claiming they were trying to collect a debt. They have failed to verify my information and have actually spoken to other people concerning this "debt" without my consent.
They refuse to give identifying information for themselves, including names, phone numbers, and business addresses. They refuse to verify the debt. Instead, they immediately threaten legal action, including lawsuits and police visits. They change the number they’re calling from every couple of calls or so.
There is no debt. I monitor my credit report regularly and have reached out to the company who was supposed to have sold the debt to them. They have no records of me going back almost 10 years.
This is a scam. Don’t engage with them.
