This company has siphoned money from my mother who has dementia. They call and tell her someone is trying to gain access to her emails and they need to help her. She gives them access to her computer and they then ask her for her checking account number and the next available check number. They then create documentation "giving permission" to the company to write a check to themselves. Amounts have been as high as $550. They then run a batch file to clean up after themselves on the computer and leaving emails that show she "gave permission" to charge her.

My brother’s laptop received a message stating that his computer was infected and that he had to call the number listed immediately which they claimed to be Microsoft. They initially told him that for $799 they correct the problem and provide lifetime service. They gained control of his computer through a program call Supremo and began asking for more and more money claiming that his bank had block previous payments and now wanted full payment. They even sent FedEx to his house to pick a check which they cashed the next day. By the time I noticed that he had been scammed they had already taken a minimum of $7000 based on bank records.
