I was initially contacted by my insurance agent who is also a friend and business collegue. He stated that one of my customers had called regarding a claim and "warranty" work and was informed by said customer that "we" , Justus & Co, had "sold out" to this person at her home. He knew this information to be false and immediately contacted me. Our customer had stated that this person claiming to have bought out our business was at her home to do warranty work before the warranty expired. He had the correct installation date, so , she took it for true. He subsequentlly "claimed" to have found more damage that he could get the insurance to pay. He got $600 cash from the homeowner and was to meet with her at the insurance office to collect the rest and then he would give her back $600. The man never showed up at the insurance office to get the other money.

The scammer had the correct install date and the correct roofing co. as well as the homeowners names. The homeowner had to contact her mortgage holder which was here in IP and also knew us. I dont know of any more of OUR customers , but have been told of other cos. having the same experience.
