Type of a scam Identity Theft

I got an email indicating that my company’s website was disabled. When I called about getting it reactivated they demanded a photo copy of my driver’s license. They are holding my company’s website hostage until I give them my personal information.

I refused to give them any personal information. I’m afraid they’ll start asking for credit card information and other things that can do more damage if I give them anything. I’m certain I won’t get my web service restored no matter how much of my personal information I give them.
