Type of a scam Online Purchase

We wanted a Russian Blue cat as a pet. Place came up in an internet search, claimed to be TICA authorized. Wanted money via Google Pay, but for some reason, the account wasn’t valid. Said to try Zelle through my bank, which I did. Paid for cat and shipping. Got a tracking number from a place called American Pets Way Transportation. Throughout the transaction, communication was prompt, but it felt a little off and I should’ve known then. Call me educated now. I get the tracking information and follow it and at the start, it looked "legit." Cat was at airport, checking in, prepping for flight, then boom, account suspended need to verify recipient. All of a sudden they want confirmation from me, which included a copy of my driver’s license and full SSN. That was all she wrote. I let them know they were not getting that information from me and they said "cat will have to go in quarrantine." Contact the "seller" and oh he and family are away but they’ll take care of it as soon as they get back. Don’t fall for this.

my parents went through this site to adopt a Russian blue kitten. She was supposed to be delivered on May 28th, 2020. The delivery company called that day and asked my dad for his full social security number and lots of other personal information or else they wouldn’t send the cat. They paid $850 for this animal that I’m sure doesn’t exist.
