I was looking for a new place to move into after my lease ends and I see an amazing apartment in my current location that is downtown and was available for 1,689 and I was very excited for this location. The scammer was very prompt in email communication and "worked" with me as I got my information and account sorted out.
As soon as my wire and information was cleared, the scammer never responded to my calls and emails and ceased the constant communication that we had leading up to this. I was assured that I would get my money back but with no signs of communication everything went dark. I’ve started a wire claim with my bank as well as this report.
I hope this can help with cutting down housing fraud in San Mateo California.
