Type of a scam Government Grant

A longtime friend messaged me and asked if I received my homestead rebate and i said no. She sent me a link and told me to contact the person and don’t tell anyone and that means no one. I got scared and I clicked the link and she said she was praying that I would get the money in time. The agent responded and asked for my full name and address and sex but not my social. Meanwhile ges texts me back and says Congratulations you are qualified for the grant. I said yea!! So I told my friend and she said yea. He demanded me to go to the store and get a gift card of $100 that will secure the account. It had to be a steam gift card and I found out that those gift cards are only for certain purchases. I bought a Google play gift card. He claimed it wasn’t activated and get another one and I called the store and they said it was fine. Now at this point I was scammed. I was scared and now couldn’t get my gift card back. He urged for my checking account and passwords.

No!!!!! I told him!! I said no. I want my gift card reimbursed. Why ma’am. He was on control. I looked him up. He is a con man. John w schoener is on facebook. Twitter and manic and will take $1000 of dollars from you. He says he will help you. He told me i had a grant of $80k , so why don’t they mail it to me. Instead of sending a courier to me. I deleted all messages and blocked John. He opened an account and texted me and asked me respond yesterday.
