Type of a scam Counterfeit Product

Last week, around 5/10/2019, I was in the front yard working, a car stopped by me and a lady open to door, she said her kid is sick and she is selling her gold diamond ring, it is worth several thousand dollars and she is only asking $500, I feel sorry for her and she seems so sincere, I said I do not have enough money with me.

She said we can go to bank, so we went to bank, withdraw the money and gave it to her. Few days later I showed it to my friend, he said he has never seen a diamond cut in such a way…. So, I went to a jewelry store, the owner said it is not a diamond and there is no gold in that ring
