They offered me a $9000 grant for me to do anything with if I gave them a $250 security deposit. They gave me a code and they told me that they would deposit the check in a western union at walmart or some offshore place like that.

I got a call that claimed I was randomly selected to receive 9000 dollars from a "Federal Agency" (they never specified which government agency, just that it was one) as a free grant that I would not need to pay back to the government.
It was a woman speaker with an accent I couldn’t place but it seemed she was trying to read from a script but kept stumbling over the words, constantly emphesiszing the 9000 dollars I was going to be awarded.
I looked up the number and saw that it was a number than seems to have harassed people before so hung up and filed this report
