Type of a scam Phishing

We placed an ad to sell an automobile on Craigslist. We received an e-mail from a Jenner Renfro who expressed an interest in the vehicle. Several emails were exchanged. I asked a couple of times for a phone number so we could talk personally, but it was never provided. Instead one of the emails contained a link to a website to get a vehicle history report. We were told that we would be reimbursed when the deal was made. It seemed suspicious. We told him we would get a report from Carfax, but he insisted that we get it from vehiclenote.com because he had used it in the past and was more comfortable with it. I looked up the domain and found it was registered in Moscow, Russia. Anyway, I found a few other similar complaints and realized this was a scam. Please beware!
