Type of a scam Online Purchase

Purchase an item from their website and they follow up with messages on facebook stating they received your order and that it is being put together. Then they follow up with another message stating the tracking number, that does not exist, and to message back with further questions. I asked about tracking error and received no response. There are numerous comments and reports on facebook and on their site claiming this is scam. They took me for $10.97 and who knows how many other people as well.
