Type of a scam Phishing

We continuously get emails through our adds up link of individuals asking for a quote for us to ship 80 pieces of expensive glass across the country. they ask us to set up freight so they can send us money but they are not able to set up their own freight due to the fact the money has to come from the pickup location.When you tell them you cant set freight up for them and they will need to set up a pick up themselves they respond with how they cant and "please do me this favor" I had the guy call our office to see if i could see if this was a scam instead of just going by emails and he sounded Jamaican and has a white guys name.
