Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

Offered me 35 an hour I went through the interview process on google hangouts the guy asked me 5 interview questions on the app and I answered them and they said I was hired. They said upon the training I need a fax machine some type of expensive printer and stuff. I told them I didn’t have any of that stuff so they asked for my address so they could send me a check. I gave them my address and within a day they sent me a check of almost $5,000. I didn’t proceed with anything further because, my friend and I did some research and found out that the check is fake and when you deposit the check it requires your bank information and the check takes 3 to 5 business days to process. As soon as you deposit the check they want you to buy the stuff from their company right away. As soon as the check processes, you are in debt of almost $5,000 from your bank and the company of which you tried to purchase the items.
