Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

Received an email asking for my participation in doing surveys for local stores such as Walmart, Apple, Best-buy or local retail store with a payment of $500 per survey. A couple emails exchanges and then I received a cashier’s check for $2,798.50 with a letter to purchase 5 – $500 gift cards. salary of $263.52 and left over of $35. Letter stated to deposit the check then send a text to 816) 866-3901 after purchasing gift cards for further instructions. On the back of the letter had 15 basic/simple questions. The Letter had no address reference, only a name, Dr. Tyler Fabrizio, Survey Evaluation Co-coordinator for Greensboro’s Employment Solutions. Wording in letter didn’t seem professional and Cashiers Check looked very legit from Zions first national Bank, routing number 124000054. The routing number appears to be legit from the “banks website”. The check was made out to me from Hudsons printing company and that seemed odd.. too many red flag
