I couldn’t access my Gmail account so I googled "Google Customer Service Contact." I came across the phone number 888-474-8464. When I called, the person who helped me said I was locked out because I tried to login in too many times, and that in order to unblock me they needed my card information. I wasn’t comfortable with that, so they said for a more secure payment I could buy a verified gift card and give them its number. They also asked me to download an app to give them access to unlock my gmail for me. I pulled over into a gas station to buy a verified gift card, and that’s when I noticed they were moving around in my phone without my consent. When I asked him what they were doing he said they were just trying to verify that I was who they said. I got too suspicious so I deleted the app and hung up.
