Scammer:

Just noticed your ducati on CL. This bike seems like a very good deal.

I’d like to know where do you usually do maintenance?

Me:

Yes, the bike is still available. All maintenance has been done at Ducati of Seattle.

Scammer:

I am gratefull for your response. I’m curious, has your bike ever been in accident in the past? Do you have history report that can provide me more info about that?

Me:

Bike has not been in an accident

Scammer:

That sounds great! Also, It would be great if you could obtain the report because even if I don’t buy your bike you’re able to show it to other interested buyers. My suggestion is us-historycheck.com because it’s one of the most detailed reports at the moment. You can also add cost of the report to the bike value.

Fake buyer tried to get me to buy a VIN report from this website. It would either steal my information or he’s getting a fee. I didn’t fall for it. All correspondence was through craigslist.
