Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan

My husband and I tried to buy a Pomsky puppy online. We contacted a breeder online. We were told the price of the puppy was $650 and shipping was $160 for a total of $810. Since breeder reportedly lived in Honolulu, we added an extra $190 to assist with flying costs. A few days later the owner requested payment for an airplane crate for $250 which we paid. A few days later, he asked for $1000 for the “deliver company” which unfortunately we paid out of naivety. Last weekend on July 19th 2020, our puppy was scheduled to fly to our home. Monday comes and still no puppy. We contacted the breeder who is asking for another $500 indicating he was not able to fly the puppy as “his bank account was frozen??”. Of course my husband refuses as by then we realized we had been scammed. The dog owner makes threats that he is going to sue us for “animal abandonment” and “difammation of character”. We elected to block him to stop his texting harassment. That’s the end of our painful experience. We have not heard from breeder for past 24 hours or so. Still no puppy.

As an FYI he told us his name was Gerald Williams. When we made payments via Cash App, the name was Armand Jeol Trek. His cell phone is registered under the name Chris Tachino. His email address is another different name.

This man is Obviously skilled at scamming and we are not his first victims. I’m aware we will not recover our financial loss, however we are sharing our story to hopefully prevent this from happening to other individuals.
