Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

Selling on Craig’s list an item for $250. I was contacted that the the product was wanted and to take down the ad and await payment and shipper would be forth coming for pick up. A check came for $1775.00. I responded to buyer that I only wanted $250. Buyer said yes I am aware of that I will let you know where to send the difference, just deposit the check. Further I told them I have no account to put said check in deposit. Buyer said they had demanded that I had an account and wanted me to deposit. The Buyer went away. Buy the way the check was sent Priority mail with a tracking number. 9405510200830390301632.
