Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

My sister found these people at first and then I checked it out, they want you to advertise their energy drink called Bang ,,and they will send a person to wrap your vehicle and you get paid $500 a week for driving around doing the advertising.

So once you agree to it they fed asked me a check and then I’m supposed to take it to my bank and I get to keep $500 of it, the amount was $3975.20,,,, Then I’m supposed to send the rest of the money to the person that’s going to wrap it so they can come install it on my vehicle!

So obviously I did not do that they were too many red flags but somebody might do it because it looks like easy money just to advertise on your vehicle.
