Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

I received a text this morning that I’m suppose confirm a letter I was receiving today, got the letter saying I was chosen too be a secret shopper. $2400 check I am suppose too deposit in my account, $400 for me $50 for expenses and the $1950 too purchase gift cards from two different Walmart,and have this done in 3days, email them when I was done, take pictures of the receipts and the cards, and remove all peel offs too reveal all card hidden numbers. It sounded way too easy and too good too be true for a fast $450!! And yea I ask them if this was legit? And they said they would never be involved in anything illegal! Yea ok…
