Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan

Gentleman called me from614-907-4917 said he was a representative from First Financial Bank in Columbus Ohio. He then offered me a loan of up to $10,000. But first he needed me to MoneyGram him a $300 payment for Insurance protection plan. Told me that once I was at the MoneyGram to call 614-907-4918 and I would be speaking to someone from the funding department. Also I need to bring my account number so I can have my money put into the account of my choice the $10,000 loan and then that would happen within 15 minutes after they received the $300 I told them that I would call the 614-907-4918 funding department number at approximately 2 o’clock and that is when I then contacted you all because I believe this is a scam. In the beginning I did give them my social security number and my birth date which I know now that I should not have done my name is *** and I hope that somehow I didn’t mess up too bad but least I haven’t lost any money and I hope that you can prevent this from happening to someone else that’s all I have thank you.
