My Story

Finn is around 3 years old, is a husky mix, and thinks he’s a cat. A cat? Yes, you read that correctly ? Finn has a very silly personality and will love on you one minute and try to sit in your lap (he thinks he’s small), and other times he will be independent and keep himself entertained.
Before coming to LSR, Finn was dumped numerous times and he did not trust people or other animals. Fast forward to today, with the help of his amazing foster home and support team, this silly boy is a completely different dog. He still needs a minute to warm up to new people, but when he does, you immediately see his goofy personality. He enjoys belly rubs, running around in the backyard, playing with his foster doggie sister and foster cats, rolling in the grass, and showing off all his skills in exchange for a treat.
Finn will let you know when he needs to go to the bathroom and he does not need to be crated when left alone. He has grown and come so far in life. We are ready to help this goofy dude find his forever family ??

We treat these dogs as individuals with needs and to that end all of our dogs will have been in fosters no less than two weeks, they will have at least started training if not attend weekly classes and get daily training at home with the fosters!
Which means our longest residents will be the best trained, as long as they’re with us we’re going to keep socializing and working through any issues they may have.
When you adopt from us you will have a very clear picture of the dog you’re meeting and on going support!
Our Fees are as follows:
Senior  dogs over 7 are $450
Adult dogs are $650
Puppies under 1 year are $800
Specific breeds are $900
With each adoption you will be…
1. Given up to four hours of free training (from the foster and coordinator),
a. Some dogs require additional free training hours before they can go home.
2. Full medical report of all findings,
3. All of the supplies needed for a new dog as we attain these for the care of each dog,
4. A full run down on their behavioral status, where they started, where they are and how far is left to go. This will be detailed in a training plan from us about what they can or cannot handle well and it will be discussed as much as needed!
5. On going support post adoption as long as needed!
We fully vet all of our dogs which is reflected in our adoption fee. On average we will pay about 600 dollars in medical per dog. Every dog gets a full blood panel, fecal/urine check, heartworm & tick panel and treatment if required, spayed/neutered, all shots and boosters, along with anything specific to their needs.
