Seems someone hacked my Aunts FB and started chatting with me out of the blue. Saying I was on a list of recipients to get assistance from FGGP, also saying she got it and cashed the check already. My Aunt has been my friend on FB for years and has said literally NOTHING to me, ever. As the conversation with the scammer continued, I drew information out of them that allowed me time to further look online about their FGGP, which des not exist. BEWARE the scam. Seems they are geared to scam elderly, and ignorant for cash to have them send YOU cash.

Type of a scam Government Grant

I was contacted by the scammer through FB Messenger using a known friend’s name that I haven’t spoken to in a while. The conversation began with Hello, How are you? then it progressed from there, with me still believing it was her. The conversation then quickly jumped into asking me if I knew an Atty named, Michael Snow and how he helped her get a $50,000 grant from a Federal Government Grant Program (FGGP). They asked me to text this number 831-274-4245 to see if I qualify. Then it said she paid a small fee to receive $50k that was overnight via UPS next day. The conversation continued as if they would help pay for the fee but it had to be paid via Money Gram.

Asked to send the fee to Name: Markson;Surname: Elebe; State: Nc; City: charloote Zipcode: 28273

There were misspellings on the Marital status as Martal. I looked them up and called the number and couldn’t be found.
