Type of a scam Government Grant

I have gotten several of these calls recently, saying the Federal Gov. picked my name to be selected to receive a one time grant payment of, $14,589. The want who contacted me was not from the US, but said she lives in Washington DC and works for the Federal Grant Dept. She said I didn’t have to pay any of it back and then gave me a number to call, and a number to claim the money. She was calling from a call center because you could hear a lot of voices in the background.

Someone claiming to be from the federal grant dept. Contacted me to tell me I had a grant that I needed to claim. She said all I had to do was send a copy of my drivers license. Do not believe this to be correct and wish these people would stop. I also receive 3 emails a week saying I have money to claim in other countries.

Type of a scam Government Grant

received a phone call from a unavailable number stating that he was from the Federal Grant dept. gave his name as Micheal, he said that I had been choosing to receive a $9200. 00 personal grant from a random drawing where 1700 citizens was selected from the state of Ohio. That it was not a application or school grant. It was from people that had a good credit rating, no bankruptcy, He said that I did not have to pay it back, nor was it going to be taxed. He gave me three options of how to receive this money. 1. through my bank account 2. through my credit card. 3. I could collect it by cash, through a money gram, or western union. I question him about if this was true or a just another scam. He told me to call the treasure account dept. and gave me the number 1-206-209-1606 with a approval code number of ST1907. He again said that this was a loyalty grant. I told him that I was going to check this out with ScamPulse.com. He said OK. I believe this is a scam.
