When I answered the call the connection was very delayed and the person on the other line, had to keep repeating herself and had breaking English. I knew it was a scam when she said she was with the Federal Dept of Treasury (which isn’t the correct name) and I knew that the IRS never calls. So I just hung up and tried to call the number back on got a " your call can not go through" message. then I posted my experience on social media for others to be aware of this scam.
