Type of a scam Tax Collection
Received a phone call from Adam Foster of supposed US Treasury at 646-907-8823 ext 0071. He indicated that I was awarded the retirement award of $9,000 by US Treasury, and I am to go to a retailer, such as Target, Walmart, etc. to purchase ID Card for $200, which will later be refunded, in order for the US Treasury to deposit $9,000 to my account. Adam was assuring that it was not a scam by stating that the phone call was monitored by a New York Police Department.
