Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan

You will get an email from the company stating that you are approved for a certain amount and that you have to pay back in 3 years. The brochure doesn’t have your name attached, but it look legitimate until you speak with representative. They will ask you to verify information, then they want you to send money for insurance. They ask you for your sign-in information for banking institution.

Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan

Consumer received an email from "ez Loan Services" stating she had been approved for a $5,000 loan. After accepting via email, the consumer then received a phone call stating that because of her poor credit, she would need to pay a deposit of $250 via Money Gram, and then they would deposit the $5000 into her bank account. She gave them her bank account information and sent the $250 via Money Gram. She received a second call saying that because her bank account was overdrawn, she had to send an additional $375 via Money Gram, which she sent. After she sent the $375, she received another call back stating that their insurance company called and said she was a liability so they needed an additional $495 sent via Money Gram. At that point, the consumer said, "NO!"

Consumer sent a total of $625 via Money Gram to a John Farris in Illinois. The phone calls came from a David Miller, number 904-637-4935.
