Type of a scam Debt Collections

They called trying to collect money on a credit card from 2 years ago. The price they quoted was outrageous and they stated interest was accruing daily. I stated I didnt have the money. They asked if my account had overdraft protection and urged me to place them on hold and contact family members for help. The representative got combative and rude so I hung up. They then called my family members to attempt to collect the payment from them. They also emailed me a form. This company had my name, address and SSN even though I gave them none of that information.
