Type of a scam Home Improvement

"Johnny" (Scottish accent) came to our front door. Said he would "restore" our interlocking brick driveway. They would lift any bricks that have moved over time, they would power wash, apply magic sand between the bricks, and apply a top coat. Don’t pay until you are completely satisfied! No deposit required. He actually started that afternoon, said he was in the area anyway. They did a power wash and returned the next morning. The crew consisted of 1 man doing all the physical labour. Another "manager" (Patrick) showed up about an hour after the start and requested money. He wanted to drive my husband to the bank to get cash. For the next 2 hours they harassed us for cash. I said you are not done, we have had this done before, it is not satisfactory. They threw some (beach) sand over the driveway, swept a little, continued to demand cash so they could start another job. I told Patrick to get off our property. I am almost ashamed to say, we paid them almost what they were asking for.
