My Story
Hi kind humans! My name is Elfie, and I’m a sweet little pocket Bulldog mix looking for my forever home. I’m 1.5 years old and weigh just 35 pounds, so I’m the perfect medium-sized buddy. My journey started off a bit rough. I was found on the side of the road lying on a dirty mattress and taken to a kill shelter. But I was rescued just in the nick of time and I’ve come a long way since then!
I’m a real cuddlebug and love being close to my humans. I get along really well with other dogs, and I pretty much ignore cats. It takes me a little while to warm up to men, but once I do, I’m as sweet as can be. I haven’t met any small children yet, but I think I’d be okay with them if they approached me gently.
Occasionally I bark when I play, but don’t worry—I stop as soon as you tell me to. I walk nicely on a leash, sit when asked, and take treats gently. I’m not a fan of getting wet, but I’m getting better. Thunderstorms and fireworks can be pretty scary for me, but I promise I’m never destructive—I just need someone to hold me and let me know everything’s okay.
I’m proud to say that I’m housebroken, crate-trained, spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and current on flea and heartworm prevention. Plus, I’m microchipped for extra safety. My adoption fee is $300.
