Type of a scam Online Purchase

I placed a credit card order for 23.90 after hitting submit it disappeared, was not able to use back to see order purchased or get a receipt. Called number on website, caller stated he is not the company in question and it was his personal number. I was concerned it may be a scam, Called Capitol One and canceled my card, they could not stop payment. Capitol One looked up the phone number associated with the charge and business name which was, Beyno with the following number, 441315104365 . I did receive an email from effnovelty.com with my charge and personal address information but no company name or contact information at all including no official letter head. I am very skeptical this is not a real company or a possible foreign entity, with a phony phone number.
