Type of a scam Employment

The first several voicemails were from "Harry", who had a great job he was contracted to hire for, once I showed interest in the job, as it was for "Verizon" as a remote IT Director, "Harry" sent my resume to his supervisor "Chris" who called me a couple of days later. "Chris" stated that "Verizon" was very interested in me based on my resume, however, they wanted confirmation that I was enrolled in a Scrum Master class before we could proceed. I asked if "Verizon" would be willing to pay for the class and certification, thinking if they interviewed me and they were still interested, why would a company not pay for this. The response, in e-mail was here is a list of companies that this telecom company works with and once you have registered for the class to let them know, but the deadline is today… I have attached an image of the e-mail, obviously, they did not commit to the company name in the e-mail.
