A person called from this number and asked for my wife. I asked who was calling and then he paused and asked if I could hear him. I said "yep" and he hung up.

I got a call on my cell phone around 8am. It was a man who asked me if I knew a person; whose name was very similar to someone I knew. The person’s name he originally asked about I said no I didn’t know that person. Then he asked if I knew the person I did know and I said yes. He never said what business he was calling from and he never really said why he was calling. The call was very suspicious.

I answered my cell phone, the person said hello, and my first name, and I said "yes". Then said the debt collection speech and hung up. I’m afraid becaus I said"yes" that I’ve been scammed. I hope it’s not one of those calls where they record you saying "yes" and then use that to make charges on your credit cards or other illegal actions.
