Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

I am currently in the job market and received an email notifying me of a skype interview monday morning. the email also stated other information pertinent to the job. So I did the so called interview everything was fine til he mentioned that the company was sending a check via FedEx I got suspicious…. having been a victim of something similar, and it came in the amount of $3,420.00. He then wanted me to deposit it and send him a picture of the deposit slip. I took it to the bank and they called on it, and sure enough it was a scam as I suspected. after telling the gentleman that the check did not get cashed he gave a weak effort to tell me it was 100% real and then disconnected from skype.
