Type of a scam Home Improvement

The owner of this company, Bob Anderson, was recommended as the distributor of a retractable awning approved by the condo complex association. He came to my condo on April 17, 2018, took measurements and then said that I would need to pay the full amount of $5100 for the awning because it was a custom size. I gave him my charge card information and he charged my account that day. He also said it would take about 4 to 6 weeks for delivery and installation. About 5 weeks later I tried to call him regarding status of my order. He told me the manufacturer was busy and that he would contact me as soon as he received it. A week later I called him again. He told me that I "was being nothing but rude". A couple of weeks later I finally got the name of the manufacturer from the condo association. When I called them, I was told that they were holding the order. That Bob Anderson told them that I had cancelled the order and that he never got paid. NOT TRUE.

I immediately filed a dispute with the credit card company on June 15, 2018. I then went on-line and found that Bob Anderson had several complaints against him listed on Yelp, RipOff, a Shame report on Fox 2 News to name a few. He is listed with several different businesses, telephone numbers, and addresses. It seems that when a company of his starts getting complaints, he closes it down and opens up a new one. He has been reported for scamming people in several states including Michigan, Nevada, California.
