Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
Was selling a treadmill for $400 on Craig’s list. Got an email from interested party. Said he would send cashiers check plus movers expenses that i was to cash and give movers. The amount of the cashiers check that arrived was $2050.00. For a $400 treadmill you could easily get on amazon for $699 free shipping. Never went to the bank to verify the check. Odds are it would have cashed then come back fraudulent a few weeks later. Live and learn.
