On 10/16/17 I received three missed calls from a local number (916-384-1807). The caller left no voicemail so I figured it was a scam. The day after, I received a missed call from 916-384-9773. When the number called a second time, I picked up since I was expecting a call the day before. When i picked up the phone, the "person" introduced himself as Brian form a cruise line company. Then the phone cut out and then he says "can you hear me?" After a 15 second pause, it reluctantly said "yes" then the call ended. It was at the same moment I realized it was a scam and reported it to the FTC and now BBB. I am currently monitoring my assets to see if any unauthorized translations occurs.

The lady would not stop talking so i hung up. My cousin got the call 2 times that day and she said it was a recording. She hung up both times. This is what made me feel like it was a scam.
