Type of a scam Yellow Pages/Directories

Last year a salesman came into my store to sale an ad on a map for a local realty store. I agreed to this ad paid by post dated cheques, maps were delivered just fine. My problem is with the maps it included an online ad free for 1 year. 2 days ago I received an invoice from *** *** for the on line ad for this current year. I wanted to cancel this service, but they stated it was my responsibility to cancel 30 days prior to expiry. *** *** mailed out the invoice the day after my expiry, I feel this should have be sent out 60 day before the expiry date, therefore I could have had the chance to cancel. I feel by not sending a reminder is not the way to do business but a way to trick people into having to pay for their ad. I will never do any business with them again and I will definitely spread the word in the local business economy.

Feeling cheated and scammed and the operator did not care what so ever!
