Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

This company sent us mail products back in June’17 that we did not order. When I tried to reach them, I realized it was suspicious. I managed to get someone on the phone and exposed the scam. They referenced my coworker and things she said — I knew it was a lie and called them on it. They backed off. I reported them to the BBB.

Fast Forward to October’17. They sent an email to my coworker for an invoice that doesn’t resemble the first one (it’s lower too), and they managed to get the name of someone in our accounts payable organization and sent her a separate email showing a past due invoice that needed to be urgently paid. Luckily, even though we are a huge organization, all details came back to me and I have alerted them all of the scam & am reporting this company to you AGAIN! Watch out for these guys!

Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

We are a mail organization at a major university. We received a box of mailing supplies we did not order, along with an invoice for $274.43. When I called to inquire, the phone was a generic robot message not mentioning the company name. I emailed, telling them we did not order the product and needed them to pay for the return. I got a call back, and the woman on the phone said she talked to someone here about an order. She had someone’s name. We are a small organization — we have a contracted supply program and do not get invoices for product — I told her she must be mistaken. Then she took MY name (from the email) and said that it was ME that she spoke to. I said that’s not correct. It was not me. She said she was 100% certain. I told her she just proved to me this was a scam and that I was going to report them to the ScamPulse.com — she quickly said she would issue an RMA and take us off her mailing list. She got off the phone very quickly after that, this was DEFINITELY a scam to get companies to blindly pay an invoice for supplies they did not order.
