Type of a scam Debt Collections

This company called claiming to have purchased a debt that I owe from a credit card for Home Depot not only were they very unprofessional but they wouldn’t even give me a proper address to contact them all of this looks like a scam most likely they have people’s information on debts and they are just calling people to see who will actually pay them and it is not the original creditor. These people purchase your information and see what’s on your credit and then they call pretending to be a debt collector and they told me they were going to take me to court against this debt and place a judgement although I live in Texas it is a debtor State and they do not have actually a way to do that to people here . Just be aware that a real debt collector would not behave this way or even use this Avenue of contact
