A friend of mine forwarded a linked for job application titled as “ personal assistant” since she said it sounds an easy job it’s only 3x a week just to do shopping and but requires driving that she cannot do. So I did fill up the application form but with a doubt so I thought of not giving my real name and address of the neighbor. Right away I received an email saying I’m hired and get ready to work as he is a busy person who is based in Canada and will send check to the address given in 2 days. And indeed after a day I received the check even if I did give the neighbors house no. I took a a picture of this packet below from USPS priority mail and see the senders name(Thuong Pham).and inside this mail is a check ( see the picture) I just covered my name. Then an email was received again saying he sent the check and that I should deposit it right away and I will be given instruction to be followed specifically. The email sender named is Mr. John” Check the letter he sent in the picture(iPad).

Well after that email I am pretty sure it’s not a legit job so I did just email back saying that I am ready to do the job and waiting for the instruction ASAP. That’s all I do. It’s already been 2 weeks I never received any from Mr. John, until I saw in the tv news about secret shopper scammers. I am writing to share and report this scam to beware the public. I hope I am of help. Thank you for this opportunity.
