Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan

First I was told I needed to purchase a google play card for $100 and call back with code under the silver scratch.. Then he would process the code and call back in 30 min.. He called back and said there was a hold on my account in the insurance department because I had shown a red flag for having bad credit.. And then went further to say, they would give me the loan but, now I have to pay them $185 in insurance fees before they release the funds into my bank account because u had bad credit… The text I received had already said that I was approved.. My question is, if I am already approved then why do I need to pay any fees upfront for a loan in the first place??? Now they have taken my hundred dollars in good faith and gonna tell me I have to wait 90 days before I receive my money back when it didn’t take but 30 minutes for him to take my money… I need help with this
