Got asked to donate money to breast cancer but the lady couldn’t back up who the foundation or sponsors are when I asked. She ignored my questions about whether or not there was a website or place I could check that this was a legitimate breast cancer fundraiser & started talking about levels of "sponsorship" I could donate. After that I asked again for a way to verify authenticity of the foundation, she told me to ple[censored]d, and I ended up disconnecting the call.

Caller said they were with breast cancer research fundraiser and asked to verify my name. They asked if I’d be willing to donate and they would send a donation envelope. Then they gave 3 different levels of donation, "gold", "silver" or "bronze" with varying dollar amounts. When I said which dollar amount, they asked if I was sure I was ok with that choice and that is when I said "yes, I am", realized it was most likely a scam and hung up.
