Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan

A guy named James Dern called my mother-n-law asking for me and she got ahold of my husband. My husband called back Bradford Stevens and associates and Spoke with James Dern about an old payday loan he says was mine and he verified the last 4 of my ssn. He said I owed $689 and if we didn’t pay by 5pm today they would take me to court and I would owe double that. My husband called and gave me the information he had and I called this Mr. Dern back and asked for proof that this debt was mine. He said he didn’t have any since he was the middle man and they would show it to me in court. I then researched them online and came across other people saying they are a scam and I called the ScamPulse.com about them. They had no information on them. I also believe there website is fake.
