I have a vehicle listed for sale on Craigslist and Marketplace. I was sent a message today stating interest. The phone number used was 724-857-6197 and was listed in Pittsburgh. I was asked to pull a report on my vehicle from beepbeepcardata.com (which leads to doctorbeepbeep.com) and forward to [email protected] I told the individual I would supply a Carfax report and also stated I was uncomfortable accessing a site I am not familiar with. The individual stated once they know the vehicle was good, we could schedule a time to meet. I replied that not all records would show on Carfax as I did not have all service through a dealer. No reply after that message.

I had others look at these messages asking for opinions on scam or not. They were not certain. Scary. I am very grateful for your site as I was able to see others having the same experience. Thank you for allowing this sharing.

I was contacted by this person who asked me to get a car report from beepbeepcardata.com. That website doesn’t exist. He said he was interested in purchasing my used car for sale.
