My Story
Highlights:
-Prefers calmer environment
-Can live with dogs who respect my personal space
Hi, I’m Beauford, a 44-pound male Australian Shepherd with a big heart. I get along well with dogs who respect my space and don’t get too in my face. Truthfully, though, I prefer people over dogs. There’s nothing I enjoy more than hanging out with my humans and getting lots of pets. If you are looking for a cuddle buddy, look no further! I am, in fact, the CUDDLIEST buddy of all cuddle buddies.
I’m vision impaired, so I sometimes need a confident person to walk with me, but I do walk on a leash. Despite my limited vision, I navigate the world with enthusiasm and love.
Are you ready to give a loyal and affectionate companion like me a forever home? Let’s enjoy plenty of quality time and create lasting memories together!
Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. Because some of our dogs are very under socialized, they may not be a good fit for young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, many of these dogs come around with patience and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience.
