Type of a scam Online Purchase

I have a car listed for sale. I get calls from a "customer" that doesn’t have a great mobile signal; they call, say hi then proceed to hang up. A few moments later I begin receiving very scripted text messages. Saying how interested they are in my car however they would feel better if I could go to auntovinnchecks.com or vinnpulled.com (they don’t say both, it’s one or the other depending on the day), first to get a report. When I mention I have a purchased carfax they stop speaking to me, which is why I became suspicious, that and the texts are identical in script. I continue to get calls every few days. Same script, same story. I called customer support (pretty upset) because I think this is an unfair way to generate sales. Customer service would not allow me to speak to a manager.
