Type of a scam Employment

I received a text message to my phone one day inviting me to apply online to become a mystery shopper. Since I had a vague recollection of applying to such a thing in the past, I figured the website was legitimate (I now realize how stupid that was). I filled in my address and email address. I received a reply email saying that I would receive a packet with my assignment. It seemed off–the email address looked funny and the English had grammatical errors (see image). I received the packet yesterday with a check asking me to deposit it and then transfer funds to two different locations. It was clear that this was not a mystery shopper assignment but instead an attempt to rob me. I shredded the contents of the packet before thinking to save it to report to the authorities, but please flag this email address. He just contacted me again. I asked him to stop and sent the email to spam.
