I noticed that my grandmother was being charged monthly for my AOL account (which is free). My bank stopped payment on the transaction. We started receiving letters in the mail stating that they were going to send her to collections. I called AOL customer service and was told that I don’t owe them any money because I have a free email account. They also stated that the phone number in the letter is not associated with AOL.
