2 men went to house asking to repair the asphalt driveway. They had the machine on the trailer and could repair it for $32/containers and should take about 8 containers. Sister figured $320.00. At end, they asked for $3,200.00. She complained she didn’t have that kind of money. They convinced her to go to bank get $2,000 cash. She did that and paid them $2,000.00 cash. She does not know what they used but said it smelled like the highway. I told her of the scams of putting oil / oil mixture down and it washes away. I called the phone number, talked to the man, and pretended to be trying to get estimates for sidewalk repair. He was reluctant to give any info and when I asked for address he called back with this address. I asked for references and he said he would bring them when he came to give me an estimate. I told him I wanted the references in order to decide who to ask for estimates. He said he would call me back but I said I would call him if I decided to have him come. He was rather abrupt and unpleasant.
